There are multiple resources that make up the police department in Inglewood, including a specially trained canine teams, directed enforcement units, scientific services investigators, bike teams, community affairs, fiscal services and recruitment. The city of Inglewood celebrated its Centennial Anniversary in 2008, where they celebrated one hundred years of outstanding service to the city of Inglewood. The history of the city and the police department has had a significant role in the designing of the department’s badge, patrol vehicles and police motorcycles. The Inglewood Police Department is separated into four offices which include: The Office of the Chief of Police, The Office of Administrative Services, The Office of Criminal Investigations, and The Office of Patrol Services.

 

The Acting Chief of Police was put into office as of June 2012 and his name is Mark Fronterotta, who replaced the former Chief Jacqueline Seabrooks, and she is now the new Police Chief for the Santa Monica Police Department. The Inglewood Police Department is located at One Manchester Blvd. Inglewood, California. This is located in the City’s Civic Center at Manchester Boulevard and La Brea Avenue. In order to get into the Inglewood Police Department, one would have to attend the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Academy, which is also known as the “STARS” center. The officers of the Inglewood Police Department are one of the most determined officers in the state of California and are some of the best in keeping the community and its residents safe.
